Snapchat + Reading
If students read for at least 21 straight days will they develop the habit of daily recreational reading?
All of my students in 8th grade that read everyday for 21 days continued to read daily throughout the data collection period.
Call to Action
To create a new habit (reading daily), find a pre-existing habit your students already take part in and pair them together.
Primary Caregiving in Early Childhood Settings
Education Scientist: Lauren Davidson '18
What is PCG?
Primary caregiving (PCG) is a system of care in which the care of each infant or toddler is assigned to one specific infant and toddler teacher who is principally responsible for that child in the care setting.
Will using a primary caregiver structure in the Toddler/Twos classroom result in a more positive experience for teachers, students and families?
The favorable outcomes were that primary caregiver system had a positive effect on the logistics of our program, fostered stronger child to teacher bonds, reduced teacher stress, and had a positive impact on the children and families in our program.
It’s my recommendation that all early childhood centers institute primary caregiving. It truly gives our youngest students more of what they need to thrive in our care.

Students having ownership over design increased responsibility, concentration, & respectful communication.
Encourage your students to design the classroom to best suite their styles and needs.
The Perceptions of Elementary Entrepreneurship

Elementary School + Entrepreneurship
What is the perception from students and parents for learning entrepreneurial skill in elementary school?
20 out of 21 students thought they benefited from business skills, 21st century skills, and social responsibility. 20 out of 21 also found the class highly engaging and wanted the program to continue in the future.
Entrepreneurship classes should be integrated into elementary classroom teaching.
